One of the best things about the Caribbean is undoubtedly the music. From Reggae to Dancehall to the rhythm driven sounds of Soca. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to sit still once the melody hits you.
Some of these artist are quite popular in the Caribbean circles, some are not, either way you should check out these sites to see the latest in Caribbean music and entertainment, what’s hot and who’s up and coming.

One such a person is an old friend of mine Danielle Ollivierre, who’s making waves all over the Carnival scene. You can get more information and some of her music over on her myspace page.
Another great resource to tap into is the overseas following of Caribbean culture. From New York to Toronto, it seems that there is an islander lurking just about any city you end up in, adding that small island flair that you can’t help but smile at.
One of my favorite sources of information happens to be Nurse Karen’s page which you can find here. You can usually find here at any large gathering of Caribbean folk. I myself think that she’s somehow mastered the art of teleportation since she seems to be everywhere, but I’ve been told that she’s just that good. Nevertheless if you you’re interested finding out up to the minute news from the world of Soca and carnival, her blog has it all so go check it out.
