Just in case you got a message saying: “Look you were filmed all naked!” make sure you read the subject header on the message, it happens to be the The “Koobface” worm was first discovered around July of this year. The worm opens a backdoor that can install other programs and wreak havock on your system, it’s being spread automatically from infected accounts to the “friend” list for that account.

Clicking the link usually takes users to a page that looks like YouTube, and a pop-up message advises the user to download a Flash plug-in.The download contains the virus, which replicates by contacting everyone on the victim’s Facebook friend list and advancing the hoax.

Bratz Dolls Grounded

The battle between toy giants MGA and Mattel has finally gotten a verdict as a Judge bans MGA from selling the Bratz Doll line. Mattel was awarded $10 million for copyright infringement and $90 million for breach of contract.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Larsonhas given MGA until the end of the holiday season, then all Bratz doll production and sales must end. For more info click here.

Dreary Christmas and Unhappy Holidays

Viacom, MTV, AT&T and now State Street have sent home workers as the credit crunch continues and the US slides deeper into recession. Viacom has slashed 7% of it’s workforce, MTV sent home 300, AT&T says it will cut 12,000 jobs and State Street plans to lose 13% of it’s workforce.
