Summer’s Over – The Madness begins

Sarge In Charge!!

So in case you missed it on youtube this summer, the online persona of Sgt. Willie Pete has been firing out the burning questions facing interracial relationships between blacks and other races. He’s become quite the celebrity in a short time, some may love him, some may hate him, he hits the marks on some topics but misses on others. The fact remains that he’s been scoring high marks as plainly seen by his consistent 4 and 5 star ratings. Topics include: interracial relationships, racial stereotypes, the politics of the black community among others. He’s definitely put the hot topics on the front burner so you may want to check it out.

Breaking The Bank

With a global oil crisis, food shortage and nothing good on TV it’s no wonder the big players in the financial world are failing. All jokes aside Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc and AIG the mega insurance giant were rescued by the US govenment this week, yet another sinking ship fighting to stay afloat in these turbulent economic times. On the bright side stocks in Europe did fairly well in early thursday trading, hopefully they can survive the current economic muddle.

You Can Help To End World Hunger (No Not With Money…This Time)

I recently got an email from Steven Sun of www.wvsp.net (Worldwide Video-Synchronization Programme). It went on to say that Every night, 862 000 000 people go to bed on an empty stomach. Every five seconds, a child dies of hunger. These sad statistics drove us to establish the Worldwide Video-synchronization Programme.

WVSP is a social justice project organized by volunteers and supported by over a thousand video producers all around the world. The project is designed to draw attention to the worldwide famine problem and to call upon people to take practical measures to bring about real, radical change for the better. WVSP is one of the international publicity activities for World Food Day on October 16th 2008.”

So I thought it wise to let you producers and would-be producers but your best creative foot forward and spread the word far and near. A little goes a long way
